TRENTON — State lawmakers suing to stop the $300 million Statehouse renovation will drop their call for a restraining order to block any work after the Christie administration on Friday said no “irreversible” demolition or construction was imminent.

But there is work on the project that will evict the executive wing’s high profile tenants very soon: Gov. Chris Christie and Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno

The lieutenant governor is being moved out of her office this week, and Christie will be relocated next week, according to Treasury Department spokesman Willem Rijksen.
