2 N.J. girls among injured in deadly Times Square crash

DUNELLEN — Two New Jersey teenage girls were among the 22 people injured when a speeding car slammed into pedestrians in Times Square Thursday, leaving one young woman dead.

The girls, who are seniors at Dunellen High School, were taken to a hospital for unknown injuries, according to Dunellen School Superintendent Gene Mosley in a statement.

“They were rushed to Bellevue Hospital where they received immediate medical attention for their injuries,” Mosley said. “Both girls — accompanied by family members — remain in the hospital under doctor’s care.”  Mosley did not identify the injured students.
