Salad chain that took N.Y. by storm is opening 1st N.J. location

Chopt, the fast-growing salad chain known for its local sourcing, is opening its first New Jersey location in Florham Park this month.

The chain, founded in 2001 and now boasting more than 40 locations, most in New York City and the Washington, D.C., area, specializes in creative salads — a current special is the spicy Sonoma Caesar with chipotle chicken, avocado, Parmesan quinoa chips, pickled cherry peppers, romaine, kale and purple cabbage.
