Self-banned gambler must forfeit $15K in online winnings

ATLANTIC CITY — A gambler who voluntarily put their name on a state gambling ban list must forfeit more than $15,500 in online winnings.

The gambler, identified only as “ST,” was ordered to forfeit the winnings because of failing to demand a hearing within a set time period, according to a report by the Press of Atlantic City. The gambler’s gender was not included in the report.

The state Division of Gaming Enforcement’s self-exclusion list was created to help people struggling with gambling problems, allowing them to ban themselves from gambling in Atlantic City casinos and online.
