N.Y. man critical after shooting that caused 3 schools to shelter-in-place

OLD BRIDGE — A 44-year-old Staten Island man remains in critical condition after being shot at limousine company in town Tuesday morning, according to officials. 

The shooting, which occurred just after 9 a.m. at Timothy Limousines on Route 9, caused three nearby schools to shelter-in-place for close to two hours, Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew Carey said in a release. 

No further details about the shooting were made available. 

Superintendent of schools David Cittadino said Tuesday the district was notified of the incident shortly after it occurred and was given updates on the investigation throughout the day.
