Woman killed crossing street in Edison, police say

EDISON — An 80-year-old woman crossing the street in town was killed Sunday evening, police said Tuesday. 

The woman, whose name was withheld pending family notification, died after being struck by a car on Woodbridge Avenue near Pilegis Court at 8:15 p.m. police said in a release. 

The driver of the Honda Accord, a 46-year-old from Edison, has not been charged in the incident, according to authorities.
