Man, 27, killed in Toms River motorcycle crash, cops say

TOMS RIVER — A 27-year-old Manchester man died Monday afternoon after his motorcycle collided with a car, police said.

Shawn Bowles was riding a 2015 Honda motorcycle southbound on Fischer Boulevard when a 2014 Hyundai Sonata pulled out from a strip mall and in front of Bowles’ motorcycle, said Officer Ralph Stocco, a spokesman for the Toms River Police Department.

Bowles collided with the Sonata on its driver’s side, Stocco said. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died, the officer said.
