Drunk driver doing 80 mph in 35-zone crashes into house, cops say

A 2016 Acura that crashed in South Brunswick early Saturday morning.  

SOUTH BRUNSWICK — A 22-year-old was allegedly drunk and driving with a suspended license when he crashed into two mailboxes, two utility poles and ended up in a township home early Saturday morning, police said.

South Brunswick Capt. James Ryan said Akhil Uppuluri, of Dayton, was driving 80 mph in a 35-zone on New Road when he lost control of a 2016 Acura he was driving just after 1 a.m.
