Man caught with 1,600 bags of heroin reportedly sentenced to 6 years in prison

NEWTON — A Superior Court judge meted out a six-year state prison sentence Friday to a 46-year-old man caught with 1,600 bags of heroin in his Franklin home, the New Jersey Herald reported.

Mark Forlenza was given credit for just over a year spent in the Sussex County jail and ordered to pay $2,205 as part of his March 27 guilty plea to second-degree possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) and a violation of probation, the newspaper reported.
