Dangerous tainted kerosene sold at South Jersey gas station

MIDDLE TOWNSHIP — Police are urgently trying to track down anyone who recently purchased kerosene from a Riggins Gas Station on Route 9 that could potentially cause a fire because it was mixed with gasoline.

The kerosene sold at the gas station at at 401 Route 9 South in Cape May Court House was inadvertently mixed with gasoline when the station received a delivery on April 24, police said.

About 85 gallons of the tainted kerosene was sold between April 24 and May 10, according to a statement posted on Avalon’s official Facebook page.
