Vote: Should Jersey City beautify traffic islands?

Oh, how fragile and fleeting is beauty. Just ask Irene Miller.

Miller lives on Carlton Avenue in Jersey City. It’s a residential neighborhood where neighbors take pride in their homes and their little plots of land.

There’s a two block stretch of Carlton Avenue, however, that has a grassy median dividing the north and south portions of the street. It’s an oasis in a sea of macadam.

Although the city mows the grass, it isn’t always green. In fact, it’s mostly weeds and brown dirt.
