Some officials must be fired for not living in Bayonne: complaint

BAYONNE — Two Bayonne residents have filed a civil complaint against at least nine municipal employees and are demanding they be terminated because they do not live in Bayonne.

The complaint, filed by Mike Morris and Peter Cresci, a frequent critic of the current administration, includes Business Administrator Joe DeMarco and Law Director John “Jay” Coffey, and Police Chief Drew Niekrasz.

“At this point — with the state of affairs in Bayonne — we have out-of-towners making decisions on (the taxpayers) behalf and we don’t have a say in it,” Morris said.
