Secaucus girls basketball standout Lindsey Mack always planned to make her college commitment early – preferably by the end of her junior year. For that reason, not too long after Fairleigh Dickinson University offered, it was clear to Mack that there was no reason to wait for other offers.

“They’re (ranked) really highly for their nursing program and I want to be a nurse,” said Mack, who verbally committed on Feb. 17. “So it’s a great balance between basketball and academics, plus the coaching staff there did a really great job of recruiting me.
