Hudson County property owners will be required to include a cover sheet with all physical land document submitted to the county register’s office starting May 1.
The new requirement, which is mandated by the state, applies to customers who record documents in hard copy format via U.S. mail, express, courier or over the counter.
A sample cover sheet for can be viewed and downloaded on the register’s main page on the county website, www.hudsoncountynj.org or picked up in the register’s office.
An additional $20 fee will be charged for documents submitted without a cover sheet or electronic synopsis for the cost of separately indexing your document.
