Firm designing Bayonne's master plan sees $20,000 increase for NYC ferry study

BAYONNE — The City Council approved a $20,000 contract increase for DMR Architects to incorporate a demand study for a proposed ferry into the city’s master plan.

The master plan — which provides a template for city progress moving forward and how development should proceed — will now include a report on the proposed commuter ferry from Bayonne to Manhattan in order to show the Port Authority that a ferry is a viable option, city Business Administrator Joe DeMarco said.
