Woodbury council president resigns

WOODBURY – The two-year president of Woodbury’s borough council has announced that he will be stepping down from his position in public office.

Democrat Councilman David Trovato, who joined the council in 2015, resigned from his position on April 4, citing personal reasons as why, according to Woodbury Administrator Mike Theokas.

Before his time as council president, Trovato was a member of the Woodbury City Council, chair of Woodbury’s Economic Development Committee, a member of the Woodbury Public Safety Committee and a member of the Woodbury Planning and Zoning Board.
