Slice of history gone as Lodi pizzeria plans to close after 94 years

LODI – Loyal and longtime customers are preparing to say goodbye to a neighborhood pizzeria after more than 90 years in business.

Curioni’s Market on Liberty Street is preparing to close April 26, according to Walt Curioni, whose grandparents opened the business in 1923.

“I’ve got a lot of emotions,” Walt Curioni said Thursday morning while preparing for a day at the shop. “I’m keeping busy right now. But next Wednesday is probably going to be our last day.”
