Officials break ground on $56M Roselle complex amid questions about cost

ROSELLE — Officials broke ground Thursday on a $56 million community center and school facility as questions linger about the potential cost to local homeowners.  

It remains unclear how much money the construction of the Mind and Body Complex, which is slated to include a new public library, a recreation center, and preschool and kindergarten classrooms, will add to the average property tax bill. 

“There’s a lot of moving parts,” Mayor Christine Dansereau, who did not attend the groundbreaking, said Thursday. “There’s a lot of information that needs to be forwarded to the community that they are asking for.”
