18-year-old man indicted for murder in Burlington City shooting

MOUNT HOLLY — An 18-year-old Pennsauken man has been indicted by a grand jury on murder charges for the shooting of an Eastampton man in Burlington City in January, the Burlington County Prosecutor’s office said Wednesday.

Investigators said Irie Y. Simmons, of the 5000 block of Highland Drive in Pennsauken, allegedly shot Eric Thomas II, 30, near the intersection of East Broad and Library streets in Burlington City on Jan. 21.

Burlington County now has 12 unsolved homicides, 3 of them from last week
