Teenager hospitalized after car overturns, police say

MANCHESTER — A teenager was hospitalized Tuesday when his Ford Focus overturned after it was hit by a Cadillac, police said.

The 17-year-old driver was attempting to make a left turn around 4:45 p.m. into the entrance of Cousins Paintball when it was hit by a 2014 Cadillac ATS traveling southbound on Route 539, Capt. Todd Malland said.

The force of the collision caused the Focus to overturn. The driver, who was wearing his seatbelt at the time, was taken to Community Medical Center in Toms River, where he was treated for a leg injury, Malland said.
