N.J.-based Navy officer accused of hazing sailors

A U.S. Navy lieutenant commander based in Lakehurst is facing a court marital for charges he hazed sailors, according to a report. 

The officer, whose named has been redacted in military charge sheets, also allegedly retaliated against a sailor who complained about repeatedly being referred to as “Charlie Brown,” PilotOnline.com reported.

Court documents say the officer told the sailor to carry a Charlie Brown cartoon figurine at all times.

The unnamed lieutenant commander, a reservist, also is accused of punching a chair next to a sailor, yelling at someone for more than an hour and lying about his actions.
