Motorcyclist hospitalized in Easter Sunday crash

MANCHESTER – A 69-year-old New York man was transported to an area hospital Sunday after crashing his motorcycle on Route 530.

Shortly after 12:15 p.m. on Sunday, Thomas Pelletier, 69, of Nanuet, N.Y., was riding a 1999 Harley Davidson FLS westbound on Route 530 when he attempted to turn left into Whiting Memorial Park, police said.

However, Pelletier lost control of the motorcycle when he drove over a patch of loose gravel, which caused the motorcycle to strike the curb near the park’s entrance, police said.
