Woman charged with strangling husband moves to suppress her statements to cops

JERSEY CITY — The attorney representing a Bayonne woman charged with strangling her husband in 2015 argued today that her client’s initial admission to police should not be used as evidence at trial. 

Authorities say Michelle Hurley, 45, choked her husband, David Hurley, 50, with a lamp cord at their West Fifth Street home on Sept. 28, 2015 during an argument over the couple’s ongoing divorce proceedings. 

David Hurley was hospitalized in intensive care until his death on Oct. 8
