Man wounded in 2nd shooting hours apart, cops say

TRENTON — Police are investigating a shooting that wounded a 20-year-old man early Monday.

The East Ward shooting happened around 12:30 a.m., less than seven hours after a 27-year-old was shot multiple times in the West Ward.

The 20-year-old told officers he was walking on the 100 block of Franklin Street when he was approached by a man wearing black and a black ski mask. The shooter ran toward him, pulled out a gun and began firing, police said.
