Philly man sentenced to 8 years on N.J. gun charge

WOODBURY — A Philadelphia man was sentenced to eight years in prison Friday following his conviction on weapons, resisting arrest and obstruction charges, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office.

A Monroe Township police officer was working in a neighborhood designated for enhanced patrols when he stopped Ellick D. Wright, 26, on South Main Street in Williamstown around 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 25, 2014.
