High school getting award for keeping n-word in musical, report says

CHERRY HILL — The decision by Cherry Hill public schools earlier this year to keep the n-word in a student production of “Ragtime” has garnered a theater award, Playbill.com reported.

Cherry High High School East, which is in the midst of performing the musical, is getting the Courage in Theatre Award from Music Theatre International, which licenses the musical, the site reported.
