Dognappers stole 2 puppies from kennel, police say

MANALAPAN – Two Border Collie puppies were reportedly stolen from their kennel on Dey Grove Road.

At approximately 6 p.m. on March 10, a 26-year-old Jackson woman called Manalapan Township police to report that two dogs had been stolen from their kennel in a barn on Dey Grove Road, police said.

The male and female Bordie Collies were approximately 14 weeks old and valued at $750 each, police said.

The dogs were described as multi-colored and the male dog is reportedly deaf, police said.

Patrolman Matthew Meyler took the report of the theft, which remains under investigation.
