Snow plows reportedly knocked down dozens of mailboxes in N.J. town (VIDEO)

MANALAPAN – As many as 75 mailboxes for township were knocked down by snowplows during Tuesday’s nor’easter, according to a report.

Department of Public Works Director Alan Spector told the radio station that snow plows in the township may have taken down between 50 and 75 mailboxes during the storm due to the accumulation of sleet, snow and rain being difficult to remove.

“Unfortunately, when you’re plowing something that heavy, regardless of your speed, it’s going to knock stuff over,” Spector told, adding he wasn’t making excuses or trying to protect anyone.
