Firefighter injured battling Howell Township blaze

HOWELL – One firefighter was injured battling a fire that damaged a township home on Tuesday night.

The fire broke out in a Potomac Court home at around 8 p.m. and emergency personnel from Howell Township, Farmingdale, Jackson and NWS Earle responded, police said.

Firefighters from the Adelphia Fire Company were able to initially suppress the fire and prevent the home from being destroyed, police said.

All of the home’s residents made it out safely, but one firefighter was injured battling the blaze and was transported to an area hospital, though police said he is expected to be ok.
