N.J. man dies in Colorado ski accident

A 43-year-old New Jersey man died in a ski accident Monday in Breckenridge, Colo. 

A 43-year-old Morris County man was killed in a ski accident in Colorado on Monday afternoon.

John Sherwood of Randolph was navigating an expert trail at Breckenridge when he collided with another skier at about 12:30 p.m. local time, officials said. 

Sherwood was treated by the ski patrol and then brought to St. Anthony Summit Medical Center in Frisco, where he was pronounced dead at 1:01 p.m., according to the resort and the Summit County Coroner’s Office.

The coroner’s office ruled Sherwood’s death accidental and said an autopsy is being performed.
