Guitar star's birthday celebration hits the road

Mahwah – A traveling exhibit dedicated to Les Paul is stopping in Mahwah — his home of more than 60 years — as part of nationwide tour celebrating the guitar hero’s 100th birthday.

After kicking off in Times Square on June 9 (Paul’s birthday), the exhibit-on-wheels will head to the Mahwah Museum on June 12 where it will be parked for a free three-day celebration.

The Les Paul’s Big Sound Experience, sponsored by the Les Paul Foundation, is a 53-foot tractor-trailer that residents can board and experience an interactive history of Paul’s life.
