JERSEY CITY — After the initial round of jury deliberations today, a verdict has yet to be reached in the trial of a Brooklyn man charged with an attempted carjacking on the Jersey City-Bayonne border in 2011.
The jury in the trial of Julio Colon deliberated from 3 to 4:15 p.m. following today’s closing statements by the prosecution and defense. Deliberations will resume tomorrow at 9:30 a.m.
“What really occurred that night?” defense attorney Michael Rubas told the jury during his closing argument today. The prosecution was “supposed to paint the picture. They didn’t,” he added.
