Route 80 lane reopens following manhole collapse in Parsippany

The right lane was closed on Route 80 West near Exit 45 in Parsippany Thursday morning because of a collapsed manhole, the DOT reported. 

PARSIPPANY —  All lanes were open on Route 80 West Thursday morning following a collapsed manhole on the express side, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The DOT reported at 7:38 a.m. that a manhole had collapsed on the express side near Exit 45 for Route 637/Beverwyck Road, closing the right lane. State Police at Totowa barracks said the incident occurred near mile-marker 44.6, and that there was …read more
