Roselle police seeking armed bandit, getaway car

Authorities say a bandit fled in this car after robbing a clerk at the Welsh Farms store. 

ROSELLE — A bandit robbed a borough convenience store Sunday, putting a gun to a clerk’s chest and stealing $3,500 before fleeing in a small, black car driven by an accomplice, police said.

Borough police today released photographs of the bandit and getaway car.

At 8:15 p.m. Sunday, the car pulled into the parking lot of the Welch Farms store at 101 Amsterdam, and one man entered and confronted the 60-year-old clerk, who was the only employee in …read more
