Two Newark residents charged in Parsippany bank robbery

PARSIPPANY — Two Newark residents have been charged with robbing a bank in Parsippany on Monday afternoon after one of them allegedly threatened to set off a bomb, authorities said.

Avery Spotswood, 43, handed a note to a teller at the Santander Bank on Littleton Road saying he had a bomb, according to a complaint filed today in Superior Court in Morristown by Parsippany police.
