Elizabeth, Rahway collecting donations for typhoon victims

UNION COUNTY — Municipal leaders in Elizabeth and Rahway announced plans yesterday for collections to help Filipinos who were victims of Typhoon Haiyan.

Elizabeth Mayor Christian Bollwage said the city is working with the United Way of Greater Union County to collect donations.

Bollwage and James W. Horne, United Way president and CEO, are appealing to people for donations to the United Way Worldwide Disaster Rebuilding Fund.
