PENNSAUKEN — Camden County officials honored the area’s veterans Sunday in a ceremony at the Veterans Island section of Cooper River Park. The message of the day focused not on memorializing the dead, but rather honoring the living with each passing Veterans Day.
“Most people go through life trying to figure out whether they’ve made a difference,” said Camden County Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “You have made a difference. It is because of you that we have the freedoms we do.”
