BRIDGETON — One of the biggest surprises in South Jersey high school football last season was Bridgeton, which overcame an extremely young roster to not only post a winning season but reach the semifinals in South Jersey Group III.
With just one returning starter gone from each side of the ball, the Bulldogs have much bigger expectations now.
“Nobody expected us to be where we were last year,” junior back Stefon Bowman said. “We’re a better team this year. We’re bound to make it all the way (to the championship).”
