CRANFORD — Shark Finns, a flag football team from Cranford, was honored at the Giants vs. Jets preseason game on Aug. 24 for its efforts in raising more than $20,000 for Special Olympics New Jersey this past spring.
Back in March, the Shark Finns were one of about 120 teams to compete in the annual New York Giants Snow Bowl flag football tournament, which raises money to benefit Special Olympics.
The team is named after Finn Morin, the 2-year-old son of Cranford residents Phil and Maureen Morin. Finn was born in 2003 with Down syndrome.
