The Eagles have seven safeties on the roster. At least four of them can conceivably be a starter or released during final cuts.
There’s that much uncertainty at the position despite several notable offseason additions. Any combination of Patrick Chung, Nate Allen, Kenny Phillips, Earl Wolff, Colt Anderson, Kurt Coleman and David Sims seems plausible. None have stood out to the point that they have already earned a starting job entering the second preseason game.
