HOBOKEN — Fresh from a decisive win in last night’s Democratic Senate primary, Newark Mayor Cory Booker was out early today greeting commuters at the Hoboken PATH terminal.
“The Hudson turnout just blew me away,” said Booker, who was joined by Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer and Councilwoman Beth Mason. Hudson County, a Democratic bastion in New Jersey, gave Booker 72.6 percent of the vote with 31,343 Democratic votes cast.
“I feel energized and just so grateful,” Booker said. “People just totally pulled together.”
