Jitney buses inspected in Fairview

FAIRVIEW – Scores of jitney bus drivers are being pulled over this morning by Bergen County Police as part of a courtesy inspection program to promote safe driving and proper vehicle maintenance.

Drivers traveling down Anderson Avenue are pulled over, as officers conduct a quick inspection to ensure that the brakes and lights are in working order. The officers also hand out green wristbands, reminding drivers and passengers not to text and drive.
